(More customer reviews)I needed a rack with wheels to use at home for some recording work I do. Being frustrated at the prices of simple wooden rack boxes/cases I was delighted when I found this unit by Samson.
No, it doesn't have doors/lids that close the front and back for transport, but that's not really what I needed. Besides this thing is heavy enough (it's steel after all) that you wouldn't really want to transport it anyway.
It really is a nice large rack. 18" deep x 20" wide x 27.5" high, with 12 rack spaces. When you put the thing together (it comes with it's own mini screwdriver included, how cool is that?) you have the option of setting it up to use either US or European rack standards and includes rack screws for all the spaces in both standards (the 4 main supports in the case are a sort of "[" shape. On one side are the US threads, on the other side the European ones).
The entire thing is finished with this nice black powder coat that looks like it could take a good bit of abuse, and the top is a very thick and solid surface. I can put my drink or something on it without worrying about spilling something and it ruining the equipment underneath.
There was one problem with the rack though, and it's the ONLY reason it didn't get 5 stars, and that's because some of the screws are near impossible to get in unless you drill out some of the holes.
I think this is because during manufacturing the holes are drilled so the screws will fit perfectly, however the thickness of the powder coat paint results in the holes being just a hair too small for some of the screws.
This is a very easy thing to fix by using a drill with a bit that just barely doesn't fit in the hole. Just go over the hole once, removing the paint and making the hole a tad larger, and the screws will go in no problem. I found this out the hard way by accidentally stripping two screws. Most of the thing goes together VERY easily, and I only notices this problem on the holes located around the lid/top of the case. So if you are putting one together and things get a bit too hard to turn DON'T FORCE IT, you'll just strip the head of the screw.
This is a very minor issue though, and to spite it I would buy another one of these racks in a heart beat if I needed (I really do love it), but I also understand that not everyone may have the tools or ability to address this issue so I thought it was worth mentioning.
Perhaps mine just ran into an over zealous painter during production. It's not a big deal.

(More customer reviews)I bought this mirror ball for a Saturday Night Fever party at our yacht club. I also bought the motor, that when attached, makes the ball move slowly in a circle.
This was exactly what I wanted and it was great for the party. Our room was approximately 30' x 50', so this size was perfect. If your room is small, this ball would be too big.
I also separately purchased a cheap clip on lamp with a 75 watt spot at Home Depot to focus on the ball. It is important that you buy a pin spot light or similar or you won't get the effect you want. I found a package which included the ball, motor and pin light for smaller disco balls but I could not find a package for this larger ball.
I would highly recommend this product.

(More customer reviews)I was looking for a vertical type studio bag for my unibody macbook pro 17 which fits very snug. I dont think you can get away with having another case over a macbook and being able to stuff it in its laptop slot.
Anyway, I love this bag. It was hard to tell from the images if the storage and compatments would be enough but there was more storage than expected. Id say it wouldnt work to well for someone that has a lot to carry around, but I assumed on a normal occasion I would be traveling with less, and if I needed to bring more hardware I can just get a separate bag for the extras.
The bag is slim, so it does not bounce around too much supposing you have it in a good spot over your shoulder.
I hate when shoulder bags bounce around. Especially if they it is carrying expensive equipment.
I especially love the zippered compartment on the flap which allows easy access to more common accessories without opening the main compartment of the bag. Inside of this compartment there is a small pocket for placing 'something' in, but it doesnt securely close, so anything you place in there will undoubtly come out when you raise this flap which seems like a pointless pocket.
There are 4 pen holders overall, 2 of which are in the outter flap which is a plus because it is easily accessable.
There is a handle on the top of this bag which I use often, especially when taking the bag off my shoulder so it does not fall to the ground.
I wish the zippered compartment on the rear of the bag was a little deeper.
Also, the main clip on this bag is a little tough to click together. I guess that can be seen as a good thing because it wont come loose, but it snagged my finger the first time which really stung!!!
Overall, I love this bag. Very easy on the shoulder, very well constructed, love the olive green color and got a unbeatable price of around 50 bucks on amazon for it. Guess no one cares for the green, but i like how the green bag is more color consistent then the other bags such as the grey/red one or the brown/blue one. This one is green on green. love it love it love it.

The two main reasons I choose this Snake was its leangth and the fact that it has XLR returns instead of TRS. The box is well made, durable and is ready to be mounted against a wall. So far we haven't had any trouble with any of the connections having loose wires like i have had with some other Snakes that I have worked with over the years. Overall I recomend this Snake for anywhere that it will have a permanent instalation.

The cable itself is nice and thick, with more of a pliable rubber feel than the stiff plastic types most cables are. The ends are very high quality, and are connected to the cable with a very solid, flexible boot, so you can be sure that it would take a lot to break a connection. I gig regularly with these cables, and am extremely happy with this purchase.

(More customer reviews)I still maintain a sizable vinyl collection, drawing from it each week for a radio show (I doubt the majority of stations in the country even bother to keep a working turntable). The old Discwasher, now simply a name sold to Phillips Electronics (RCA, General Electric), impresses me less these days than this Stanton brush. Unlike the corduroy material of the Discwasher, it has a felt-like material that appears to penetrate the grooves and pull out more dust than a stiff corduroy wipe. I don't buy, however, the claims either manufacturer makes about "special formulas." When the bottle of liquid runs out, it's silly to purchase another 25 dollar kit. Simply refill it with a 50/50 mix of water and isopropyl alcohol and expect the same results.

The fidelity is great for my ears running through an AMC integrated amp into a pair of homebrew MTM Vifa/Scan Speak bookshelf speakers. The response is neutral to warm, and the stereo separation is quite good. Lower end Grado cartridges seem to be as good a bargain as the low end of their cans.

Gemini ABS Case for CDM-3600/CDM-500 Review

I have used the box only 3 times and already the latches are loose and don't line up in first try. It is total waste of my money.

I have used it repeatedly for school talent shows (where students have literally tried walking down it like a balance beam, rolled racks of chairs across it, etc...agghhh!) and similar events where it gets totally abused, and it's held up fine. The carrying handle makes it easy to put in place, and the strain reliefs are solid. Basically, this thing is tough as nails and has all the features you could want, at a great price. I will buy the exact same one again if I ever end up needing more channels.

-Padded shell case: This is worth the pack alone. A nice, sturdy clamshell design helps keep the somewhat-delicate-feeling H1 (due to its feather-light weight) protected. A detachable strap is included and has an attached velcro strap on the back of the case. The case is only slightly larger than the H1 itself.
-Adjustable Tripod Stand: Made of mostly metal. It's not much bigger than the H1 itself. The pivot mount can be practically adjusted at any angle, including 90 degrees. The mount piece that attaches to the H1 is made of metal. If you're looking for more creative positioning in different environments, consider a Joby Gorillapod ([...]).
-USB Cable: Pretty standard mini-USB to USB cable. It's about 3 feet long so if you need longer, just buy a mini-USB to USB cable at any electronics store.
-AC Adapter: Somewhat superfluous, this adapter attaches to the USB cable to provide power to the H1 via an electrical wall socket. Considering the H1 lasts about 10 hours on one AA battery, it feels a little needless. Still, it's great to have if you don't happen to have any batteries.
-Mic Clip Adapter: Very handy for placing/positioning the H1 on a mic stand. Handle is made of dense plastic; mount piece is made of metal.
-Windscreen: A pretty standard foam windscreen that handles things such as plosives just fine but don't expect it to excel outside. Wind is a demon on the H1's sensitive mics. I would highly recommend springing for a RedHead windscreen (which are available now for $34.95 at [...]).
All in all, a nice, rounded package.

I'm pretty certain if a drink was spilled on the VCI while this cover was on, it would protect it from any serious damage. The plastic is approx 1/8th inch thick and seems very durable, I would liken it to the same plastic used in the popular Nalgene water bottles.
I would purchase Decksaver products again, and will recommend it to my friends.
I hope they make a small cover for the Vestax VFX-1, effects module.

Chauvet Abyss LED Review

(More customer reviews)I use to own 2 of these exact lights in the non-LED model. This one is slightly more compact and has a bigger lens, but performs the exact same effect, but at a fraction of heat and energy consumption. My old ones would automatically shut off after 15 moments due to overheating and would turn back on 2-3 minutes later and would constantly cycle this way. Those problems are gone with the LED versions. Awesome product and cool effect!
