Needless to refer Denon for high quality audio products.
Quality of equipment and finish is great. 40Gb is a lot of room for music, excellent response time to all commands, nice look, easy to use. Accepting usb keyboard for easily searching music (by artist, song, playlist, etc - and it is fast) is also great.

The only down side is the Denon software used for syncronization... once it really does not syncronize your computer with the player (instead, it allows you to copy music from one place to the other) - so a simple thing like adding a song to a playlist become a complex thing. Instead of sincronizing, you have to remember the playlists you edited in the computer, delete the entire playlist from the device and copy it again...

(More customer reviews)Despite of all magazine reviews, the Pioneer CDJ-1000Mk2 is the new 1200 of the industry (if you know what i am talking). It has 4 types of pich 6% 10% 16% and Wide (a.k.a 100%) the large very large Dial, that has very touch sensitve feeling so if you are scrach DJ, or any type this is the most versatile dial you can buy... forget denon.. forget techics (the new one.. not the mk2)... this is the baby every one has on raves and big shows. the screen is brighter than the Mk1 version (even do, i havent seen mk1 in action).
it has revers funtions, that allows to back spin the cd even if scraching... also its quick!! loading and un-loading, it has 3 cue points, so if you are undecide , set them up and change your mind with out setting up again the cue points
the only bad thing about this cd player its that its expensive so if you are one of those bedroom DJ, you might wana wait till you get 2k so you can buy a pair.

Numark iDec iPod Recording & Playback System Review

(More customer reviews)I have several audio racks as I do commercial audio for events in our area. I use Ipod Nano's as they have crossfade capability and I no longer have to hover over the board trying to crossfade music or use my notebook, etc. The Ipod Nano works great as I establish a playlist for a venue and then let it run. The problem is I'm often trying to find a good location for the Ipod to be connected into the system without knocking it around or worrying about the connections. (Also charging some Ipods, like the Nano while doing playback is a bit of a challenge due to the close proximity of the connectors, etc.) The IDEC solves all the problems. It takes up 2 rack spaces in a rack, you need to install the correct insert for the Ipod you'll be using and then insert the Ipod...you're good! You can use the large jog wheel like you would on the face of the Ipod, it's being charged, it's in a protected place on the rack itself which won't get knocked around, iand the backlight can remain on without worry of the battery running down, and you have large controls you can readily control vs trying to deal with the smaller buttons on the Ipod itself. I purchased one which I have at home and found it was very convenient, so I obtained one for my large location rack, and then another for a smaller rack. I can't say it's entirely worth the money if you're using Ipods only occasionally in a rack for one or two venues a month, etc. or you really don't run the system for ongoing hours of playback. If, however, you have a rack at home and you tend to use the Ipod a great deal and don't need a remote, it's great. If you have a system at an event where you're continually running playback audio or worried you're going to run out of juice before you can charge up the Ipod, it's great as it brings stability to the system. As far as recording, however, I haven't really tried it, although it's probably fine, I've just not done it as more often I just use it for playback. It's a well built unit and a great interface for your system.

(More customer reviews)This case is absolutely exceptional in every way, except for one major problem... the mixer will not sit flush if you need to use XLR or 1/4" plugs, for there is simply not enough room between the rear of the mixer and the rear of the case. Had they made the case one inch wider, this would be a flawless product. As it stands now, I had to cut, with a utility knife, a few areas of the case's rear foam just so I could create enough room to facilitate my XLR plugs. How could they not think of this ahead of time? I am satisfied overall, simply because every other ambit of this product is flawless, but I wonder with amazement how RR didn't approach this problem.

(More customer reviews)I was able to fit my Behringer mixer (with the mountable adapter 'ears'), Crown power amp, power conditioner, and a custom shelf all in this case. The case is sturdy with quality hardware. The 'Marathon' plate is necessary as the slanted mixer will come down into the vertical space and this covers it up as you would loose that space anyways due to the bottom of the mixer. This case is rugged and ready for gigs!
