(More customer reviews)The TASCAM M-164FX 16-Input Mixer with Effects is worse than bad. I bought it during a special promotion where the unit sold for less than $200 plus, as an added bonus, 3 free Tascam Dynamic microphones were included. I opened the box, took one look at it and knew that I just bought a piece of garbage. If they included 10 free microphones, it still would not be worth buying. Cheap plastic all the way through. The sliders had a flimsy feel to then and they could not possibly hold up to frequent use. One good thing is that it was very light because of the meretricious plastic construction. I cannot say enough bad things about this mixer. It's really a shame because I own some other Tascam products and have been very happy with them. I hope this is not the direction Tascam is intending to go. Well, if they do go this route, producing products like the M-164FX 16, they are going to go belly-up. Bye, bye Tascam. Need I go on? I think not. If you buy the aforementioned product after reading this review, then you deserve what you are going to get.
