(More customer reviews)First of all, this amp is capable of 1,000 watts NOT 10,000 watts as advertised! Here's the proof: 1 - NO AMP IN THE WORLD creates energy! If it did, the energy companies would be all over it!! 2 - The amp draws 1800 watts of power and therefore, the max the amp can drive is 60-80% of the 1800 watts it uses. Let's say 60% efficiency since this is a cheap amp. That would provide a total of 1,080 watts at maximum disortion.
I would NEVER buy any amp that is called a "DJ" amp. That name is given to amps that cannot handle the rigors of live sound. If you are a DJ, you might be okay but you can find better amps, without the hype for less money.
BTW - here's another engineering principal that will prove this impossible. It's called Ohms Law. Power(Watts) = Volts X Amps. If you use 120 volts and 15 amps (Power Limit for standard 3 prong power cord) you get a maximum power draw of 1,800 watts - assuming that this is the only device plugged into that circuit! Again, amps cannot CREATE power so the output MUST be less than the power drawn and therefore, MUST be less than 1,800w.
I don't know why reputable resellers sell amps that have completely BOGUS specs like this one. The 500w and 900w bridge power are probably correct but the 10,000 watt maximum power title is a complete falsification.
