(More customer reviews)This item is very helpful for recording events. I can put my laptop right next to the tripod with my camera and link it to my Mac. Then just record the event on the Mac. The stand works well when it's kept low. The crank to hold the hight doesn't keep the stand up. You nave to use the metal pin the included. The stand is not real sturdy, but it does the job. Would be nice if it included a strap to hold the laptop in place.
