(More customer reviews)I bought this item for a permanent install and it is perfect for this purpose. The product comes with all parts needed for different mounting options (i.e. there are some parts you won't need).
Take care to tighten all parts solidly for a sturdy setup, especially when you extend it all the way.
The adhesive rubber pads are a nice touch.
Compared to a similar product it's more time-consuming for mobile setups, but it is more stable.
All in all, it is exactly what I was looking for.
